Bio

Fred Jafari is a professional engineer whose work in planning, design, and construction management spans more than 45 years across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in California, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. His projects run from commercial and institutional buildings to schools and public infrastructure, joining technical rigor to solutions built to last for the communities they serve. He is the founder of Professionals Without Borders, through which he establishes and supports schools and educational programs for underserved communities -- work grounded in his conviction that education is the cornerstone of social progress, economic empowerment, and community resilience. Leading multidisciplinary teams alongside government agencies, nonprofits, and international partners, he builds initiatives where education, engineering, and community development meet.
